Tritiation gets selective
نویسندگان
چکیده
Late-stage tritiation with high selectivity, isotopic purity and functional-group tolerance is important for the radiolabelling of drug candidates or bioactive compounds. Now, a broadly applicable protocol using aryl thianthrenium salts allows complex molecules by hydrogenolysis via an intermediate cationic palladium complex.

Tritiation of tylosin and metabolic study in the rat.
Tritiated antibiotic tylosin was prepared by aqueous exchange, purified, then stabilized under phosphate form. After oral administration to rats, the balance study showed the following distribution: urine 10%, feces 46%. Urinary and fecal metabolites were identified as tylosin and desmycosin; 65 % of the urinary radioactivity was tritiated water. The elimination is biphasic. 3H-Tissue accumulat...
متن کاملPhotoredox-catalyzed deuteration and tritiation of pharmaceutical compounds.
Deuterium- and tritium-labeled pharmaceutical compounds are pivotal diagnostic tools in drug discovery research, providing vital information about the biological fate of drugs and drug metabolites. Herein we demonstrate that a photoredox-mediated hydrogen atom transfer protocol can efficiently and selectively install deuterium (D) and tritium (T) at α-amino sp3 carbon-hydrogen bonds in a single...

The global spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome highlighted the need to detect and control disease outbreaks at their source, as envisioned by the 2005 revised International Health Regulations (IHR). June 2012 marked the initial deadline by which all 194 World Health Organization (WHO) member states agreed to have IHR core capacities fully implemented for limiting the spread of public he...
